Crowded today at Bigbury with the SWA competition but plenty of room for everyone with a midday low tide. It was a bit hit and miss with the webcam compared to the forecast but everyone was solidly planing on 4.5 - 5.3 so I opted for a 5.2. No choice with the waveboard as the Wind Addiction has been retired following the damage on the last outing and I haven't replaced it yet.

Waded out through 3 ft of dense weed to launch into the almost side shore conditions and scored a big jump of a nice 4 ft face, good to blow the cobwebs away. Got to the outside and I was well powered up and the waves were getting fairly big. A few more runs and I got some impressive airtime of an 8 ft face with a sickening flat landing but the K-Bay held out. After a break for lunch during a squall I headed back out for more of the same. The wind had kicked up a gear and it got to the stage where I couldn't hold on so I called it a day.

Some war wounds with a bit of an altercation between the board rail and my shin. An excellent day and the first decent test of the Ezzy, I'll be slowly replacing my quiver over the next year.
